Master Spa Filters Maintenance Reminders

Your filtration system is the single most important factor to keeping your spa water clean and clear. If you have dirty, worn out Master Spa filters, they cannot trap contaminants effectively, and will let unwanted and potentially damaging particles into your pump.

To keep your Master Spa filters in optimal working condition, follow these recommendations:

  • Install a new Master Spa replacement filter at least once a year. EcoPur filters should be replaced every 6 months.
  • Clean your filter weekly—and with every water change.
  • To clean outer filters, simply spray them with a hose while separating the pleats with your fingers. Remove any debris that is present. Periodically, rinse and soak the outer filter in a cartridge cleaning solution. (EcoPur filters should only be rinsed with clear water and never soaked in a cartridge cleaner.)
